This simple meal takes less than 30 minutes to make and is under 500 calories per serving! Great for the whole family. Here is our favorite honey shrimp with mango salsa and avocado recipe.

Ingredients :

  • 1 lbs shrimp
  • 3 limes
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 mango
  • 1 jalapeño (optional)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp butter


Step 1: Marinate the Shrimp

Squeeze the juice of two limes into a bowl. Add honey, chopped cilantro, salt, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. Mix well. Add peeled and deveined shrimp and mix. Set aside for 10-15 minutes to let marinate.

Step 2: Make Rice

Add rice and water to your rice maker and press start.

Step 3: Make mango salsa

Dice mango, red bell pepper, and jalapeño. Mix with juice of 1 lime and a dash of chopped cilantro.

Step 4:

Add butter to a large sauce pan and melt on medium heat. Add entire shrimp mixture to the pan and saute’ for 4-5 minutes until shrimp is pink throughout.

Step 5:

Add rice to a large bowl. Place mango salsa on top followed by the sautéed shrimp mixture making sure to pour the extra juice over the rice. Slice a fresh avocado to add to the top.
