If you’re looking for a very neat, unique expereince with the whole family, consider visiting the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We’ve seen balloons launch before….but never like this. Fields and fields and fields of what looks like huge colorful tarps are stretched out across the desert.

Then each field started in motion. Slowly at first, then the balloons started to bubble off the ground. Soon the massive beasts started to fill, ballooning up like mountains growing from the ground. They were so close to each other that they poof into on another. Teenagers dared each other to squeeze through the soft canyons as the balloons started to take shape. Soon the balloons fully filled and were dancing around gently bumping into each other in the light breeze. Passengers climbed in. And they were up up and away!

This is a must-see if you are ever in Albuquerque in the first week of October. The weather was in the pleasant 70’s, and it was a lovely trip.
